Phu Nguyen is the post-doctoral scholar at the Center for Hydrometeorology and Remote Sensing, University of California, Irvine. He has made great contributions to the development of the Vietnamese Students and Professionals Community in the U.S and worldwide

Mai Phan Zymaris
Executive Director
​Mai Phan Zymaris is currently a manager for a social app startup while pursuing her J.D. at Boston College Law School. Mai was working for a top international law firm and earned her Master of Law at Harvard Law School. She is passionate about helping young Vietnamese entrepreneurs navigate through the legal and capital hurdles in order to realize their business ideas.

Phuong Jean Pham
Operations Director
Phuong Jean Pham has over 3 years of experience working with startups, nonprofit, and private organizations. During her college time, she interned at a PR creative firm in Hanoi, a social enterprise in Bangalore, a nonprofit in Midland and a startup accelerator in Honolulu. Phuong believes in the difference that startups can make in emerging markets where the system is still fledgling and has a lot of room for growth like Vietnam.

Hieu Pham
Finance Director
Hieu is currently pursuing his Master of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Analytics at Suffolk University. He is passionate about community services and helping entrepreneurs realize their dreams. Hieu is proud to call himself a marathoner as he completed his first marathon in April 2017.

Henry Hung Tran
Head of National Round
Henry cofounded a number of startups such as Up coworking space and Volunteer for Education while maintaining an active role in the government. As the representative of Hanoi Youth Union, Henry would like to see more inland Vietnamese startups aiming for international markets. He previously earned a Master's Degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science and served as the Vietnamese Youth Delegate to the United Nations.
Thang Tran
Fundraising Director
Thang is currently working for Cardinal Realty Partners and USAISG as a Marketing Director for International Investment in Virginia, USA. He is also partner with a start-up business called PSK Creative, a Digital Marketing and Branding company. Thang is passionate about building a Vietnamese start-up community here in the United States. He believes Viet Challenge is a great opportunity for him bring the community together and help people who want to become an entrepreneur.

Linh Nguyen
Fundraising and External Relations Manager
Linh is a Computer Science and Statistics double major at Luther College class of 2018. She is currently interning for IBM as a software developer. In addition, she is the Financial Chair and Board of Regent Representative for Luther College’s Student Senate.
Thao Quynh Jenny Nguyen
Fundraising and External Relations Assistant Manager
Quynh is Hospitality major (UNH class of 2020). Currently, besides being on Dean’s List, she’s an International Scholar and Presenter of the OISS and a member of Professional Convention Management Association at UNH.

Duc Bui
Fundraising and External Relations Assistant Manager
Duc Bui is a student at Xavier University, majoring in economics and finance, graduating in 2020. He had attended to Chu Van An High School for 2 years before left Vietnam to study his high-school-senior-year in the US. He earned a GED degree. During his freshman year at Xavier University, he had worked as a proctor in a Disability Service. He has been interning in BK-Holdings to assist in logistics, attend meetings with various schools to discuss the organization’s initiatives and look for grants and funds for start-ups.
Anh-Thu Luong
Fundraising and External Relations Assistant
Anh-Thu graduated with BSc Finance from the University of Essex in the UK. She was on Dean’s List as well as achieved Employability and Careers Award provided by the University for Achievement in the extra-curricular activity. She is actively in volunteering to help communities and encourage wellness. She strongly believes Vietchallenge is great opportunity for Vietnamese students around the world to get closer to their dreams, also a chance for them to find a real connection and a global reach.

Huong Dao
Director of Mentorship Program
Huong Dao is currently pursuing her Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance at Mercyhurst University. She is passionate about helping startup teams connect to mentors to seek advice for executing unique ideas.
Dao Nguyen
Coordinator
Passionate about technology and cultural intersections between East and West, Dao Nguyen thrives to help young Vietnamese entrepreneurs have better exposure and opportunities in Western as well as global markets. He also hopes to help foreign investors better understand Vietnamese market and bridge the gap between potential projects and available capital. Dao Nguyen currently builds video distribution software for Comcast NBCUniversal in New York City.

Lien Pham
Human Resources / Mentorship Program
Lien is currently a rising senior at Connecticut College with a double major in Economics & International Relations and a Psychology minor. Previously, she has acquired diverse experiences in sales, human resources, and risk analysis across real estate, hospitality, insurance and financial services industries in Vietnam. Beside work, Lien is passionate about social entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.
